The present article reviews memory processes in patients with panic at tacks. First, psychophysiological models of panic disorder and informa tion processing models of emotional disorders are presented. This is f ollowed by an overview of the empirical research on memory in panic di sorder. The majority of studies are in concordance with the hypothesis of specific anxiety memory structures. The results support network mo dels of the anxiety memory as well as central assumptions of the psych ophysiological models.
