E. Szukalska et al., THE EFFECT OF NICKEL-CATALYST GRANULATION ON ITS ACTIVITY IN THE PROCESS OF THE RAPESEED OIL HYDROGENATION AND ON THE FILTRATION-RATE, Przemysl Chemiczny, 76(4), 1997, pp. 133
The hydrogenation of the rapeseed oil was conducted under the atmosphe
ric and 0,3 MPa pressure with nickel catalyst from Fertilizer Institut
e Pulawy and an imported one. The catalysts investigated varied in gra
in size It was found out that the size of the catalyst grain affected
the rate of hydrogenation and filtration of catalyst from oil. The cat
alyst showed different activities. The highest activity was noted for
fined-grained catalyst. A medium one was observed in the case of mixed
catalysts, while the smallest one for coarse-grained one. However, th
e filtration rate was the highest for coarse-grained catalysts.
