Abstract
Vapour-phase catalytic alkylation of benzene to diphenylmethane in high sel ectivity (92.5%) at 30.7 wt% conversion of benzene is reported for the firs t time using dichloromethane (DCM) as an alkylating agent and H-ZSM-5 as th e catalyst.
