Abstract
Secondary dialkylammonium ions thread through the cavity of (RS)-benzo-2,2' -binaphtho[26]crown-8 to create [2]pseudorotaxanes, one of which was stoppe red to produce a [2]rotaxane-incorporating the chiral binaphthyl unit-that was characterised by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and X-ray crystall ography.
