Abstract
The influence of annealing of SrLaAlO4 (SLA) and SrLaGaO4 (SLG) crystals on their elastooptic properties has been reported. The results obtained an di scussed in terms of the nature of the oxygen point defects which might be c reated in the crystals during the growth process.
