Abstract
The realisation and systems performance of an OADM based on a grating-assis ted Mach-Zehnder interferometer imprinted on photosensitive-cladding fibre are reported. This component provides low short wavelength losses, a high r erum loss at the input port. low chromatic dispersion and low PMD. A thorou gh characterisation is presented of the device and its system performance f or multiwavelength transmission at 10Gbit/s per channel, showing compatibil ity with 50GHz grid dense WDM systems.
