Abstract
Keratoconus is a progressive non-inflammatory corneal ectasia. Alopecia are ata is complete loss of hair patches on the hairy areas of the body in asso ciation with some ocular manifestations such as cataract, or disorders of t he conjunctiva, iris, lens, choroid and retina pigment epithelium. A ten-ye ar-old patient with atopic keratoconjunctivitis, keratoconus and alopecia a reata is presented. This patient has also been receiving treatment for Hash imoto thyroiditis (chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis) for more than three yea rs. The possible association of keratoconus with multisystem autoimmune dis ease is discussed.
