Abstract
A wideband single layer triangular patch antenna fed by an L-shaped probe i
s proposed. It achieves 42% impedance bandwidth (SWR less than or equal to
2) and a maximum gain of 6 dBi. A foam layer of thickness similar to 10% of
the operating wavelength is used as the supporting substrate. The radiatio
n pattern is stable across the passband.
