Abstract
Melt-textured, bulk high-temperature superconductors are finding increasing uses in superconducting bearings, flywheel energy storage, and other levit ational applications. This article reviews the use of these materials irt m agnetic-levitation applications. The behavior of levitational force, stiffn ess, damping, and rotational losses is discussed.
