Abstract
The electrochemical response of an ion transfer reaction at a polarised mic ro liquid I liquid interface has been studied by a finite element method. A new penalty method developed for this application has been first validated by comparison with experimental and analytical results obtained for a symm etric micro interface. Then, asymmetric geometries have been studied and th e influence on the voltammetric response of parameters such as micro hole d epth, interface position within the hole and diffusion coefficient ratio is investigated.
