Abstract
AC and DC magnetization measurements performed on pure SrRuO3 single crysta ls and sintered material suggest a spin glass behavior below T-f = 163 K. T his character of SrRuO3 may be due to the strong Ru(4d)-O(2p) hybridization which requires part of the magnetic moment to reside on oxygen sites. The involvement of the oxygen results in frustration, which, in turn, leads to glassy behavior. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights res erved.
