Abstract
On reaction with carbon disulphide and tetramethylammonium fluoride in dimethylformamide, pentafluorobenzonitrile undergoes nucleophilic sub stitution reactions, resulting eventually in trifluoromethylthio subst ituted polyfluorobenzonitrile. 2,4-Dinitrofluorobenzene and pentafluor obenzene undergo similar substitutions, however, the product mixtures are much more complex.
