Abstract
Closed-form analytical expressions suitable for CAD software packages are p resented for calculating the quasistatic TEM parameters of a conductor-back ed asymmetric coplanar waveguide (CB ACPW) with one lateral ground plane. T he effect of the removal of one of the lateral ground planes of the convent ional ACPW and additional backed ground plane on the quasistatic parameters is discussed by using the expressions derived by the conformal mapping tec hniques. This paper's results are compared with the results available in th e literature. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
