Abstract
The Individual Education Plan and Individual Family Service Plan are legall y mandated documents developed by a multidisciplinary team assessment that specifies goals and services for each child eligible for special educationa l services or early intervention services. Pediatricians need to be knowled geable of federal, state, and local requirements; establish linkages with e arly intervention, educational professionals, and parent support groups; an d collaborate with the team working with individual children.
