From the aerial parts of Euphorbia iberica, an ingenane diterpene ester, in
genol 20-eicosanoate, and three ursane-type triterpenoids, 3 beta-acetoxy-u
rs-12-ene-1 beta,11 alpha-diol, 3 beta-(E)-coumaroyloxy-urs-12-ene, and 3 b
eta-(Z)-coumaroyloxy-urs-12-ene have been isolated together with known cylc
oartane-type triterpenes, a flavone, and coumarins. The first four compound
s are new and their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods.
