Abstract
Methodologies for the introduction of fluorine functionalities into organic molecules by electrochemical oxidation and reduction, which consist of red uctive monodefluorination of trifluoromethyl imines and ketones to difluoro enamines and enol silyl ethers, oxidative bond formation between amino-nitr ogen and aromatic ring carbon leading to 2-trifluoromethylbenzimidazoles, f luoro-selenenylation of olefins by recycling active selenenylating reagents , perfluoroalkylselenenylation of olefins via indirect electron transfer, a nd electrochemical trifluoromethylation, are described.
