S. Yasui et al., Multistep mechanism for "hydride" transfer in the redox reactions induced by NAD(P)H- and NAD(P)(+)-models, REV HET CHE, 20, 1999, pp. 145-165
The mechanistic studies presented to date concerning reductions by NAD(P)H
models as well as oxidations by NAD(P)(+) models are outlined. Particularly
emphasized are studies about how a net "hydride" is transferred from an NA
D(P)H model to a substrate. A multistep mechanism including the initial ele
ctron transfer is shown to be more likely than a single-step mechanism.
