The contribution of ionic conductivity of amino acids is evaluated by extra
polating regressive equations describing the electroconductivity of heterog
eneous ion-exchange membranes MK-40 and MA-41I to a zero concentration of t
he mineral component in the mixture. Diffusion coefficients for cations of
glycine, alanine, and leucine in MK-40 and anions of glycine and alanine in
MA-41I are calculated. It is shown that diffusion coefficients for anionic
forms of amino acids in MA-41I exceed those for cationic forms in MK-40.
