Later Stone Age herder-hunter interactions reflected in ceramic distributions in the upper Seacow River valley

John Vogel has been an active participant in the Zeekoe Valley Archaeologic al Project for more than a decade. During those years he generated for us a radiocarbon chronology of the past two millennia, which allows us, at last , to begin to understand some of the complex events that took place in the upper Karoo during recent prehistory That John's contribution has provided the very backbone of this project is to understate the obvious. It is a ple asure and a privilege to offer this brief overview and interpretation of ou r findings in his honour.
