Abstract
A new NMR experiment is presented for the detection of intact C-13-N-15 uni ts in biosynthetic studies. Its use is demonstrated through a feeding exper iment utilizing [2-C-13,N-15] glycine which confirmed the origin of the thi azole ring in the marine cyanobacterial metabolite barbamide as originating from cysteine.
