Abstract
Ring closing metathesis of N,N-diallylanilines and a related 1,2-dihydroqui noline. catalysed by Grubbs' catalyst, occurs in good yield at room tempera ture furnishing 3-pyrrolines and 3-piperidines, DCM and EtOAc are the solve nts of choice and interesting substituent effects are identified and discus sed.
