Abstract
A new method is suggested for constructing Miura-type transformations for s ystems of nonlinear equations of mathematical physics integrable by the <(p artial derivative)over bar>-problem method using a generalized normalizatio n function in the a-problem. Examples of these transformations for the Kado mtsev-Petviashvili equation are considered.
