Abstract
We treated 5 proximal humeral fractures associated with advanced osteoporos is with conventional plate and screw fixation augmented by intramedullary b one cement. These osteosyntheses remained stable during a 1-year follow-up and the outcome was similar to that after fractures in younger patients wit hout osteoporosis.
