Abstract
We report light-scattering experiments on the compatible binary polyme r blend poly(ethylmethylsiloxane) PEMS (N= 223) and poly(dimethylsilox ane) PDMS (N= 325) with phi(C,PEMS)= 0.456 in the one phase region. Fr om the k dependence of the structure factor we obtain the effective se gment length a(eff)(2) for temperatures larger than the Ginzburg tempe rature, which shows a shrinkage if we approach the critical point in a ccordance with theoretical predictions.
