Abstract
The potential for moving the blooming period of three exceptional honey pla nts (Agastache foeniculum, Asclepias incarnata, and Scrophularia marilandic a) front the period of the summer honey flow to the fall nectar dearth peri od as a result of cutting was studied. While cutting did move the blooming dates of all three species, it also diminished the number of flowers in tho se species. Of the three species, S. marilandica was the least adversely af fected by cutting.
