Abstract
After stage I palliation for hypoplastic left heart syndrome, recurrent coa rctation occurred in 9 of 25 survivors (36%) requiring balloon angioplasty, predominantly from a prograde approach. Although angioplasty was initially successful in all patients, recoarctation occurred in 4 and repeat angiopl asty was successful in 2.
