Results of the first radio interferometric observations of the radio galaxy
3C 111 at decameter wavelengths are presented. The observations were obtai
ned using the URAN-1 interferometer. A simple model for the radio-brightnes
s distribution of this source at 25 and 20 MHz has been determined. The gen
eral properties of the best-fit: three-component model at these wavelengths
are similar to those observed at centimeter wavelengths; the overall maxim
um sizes and position angles of the structures are virtually identical. How
ever, there are appreciable differences; in particular, the decameter angul
ar sizes of the outer components are considerably larger, and the relative
contribution of the central component (which coincides with the optical gal
axy) is much less.
