Abstract
The fungus associated with mango scab in Queensland has been compared with the type collection of Sphaceloma mangiferae, and found to be conspecific w ith that taxon. Morphological characteristics indicate that it is placed in correctly in Sphaceloma, and the new combination Denticularia mangiferae ae is proposed. Pathogenicity to mango leaves has been demonstrated with a cu lture isolated from mango in Queensland, and with inoculum taken directly f rom sporulating leaf lesions.
