Bullous diseases are becoming increasingly better understood owing to the a
ctive research which has taken place in this field over the past decade. Ad
vances in understanding of bullous disease pathophysiology is translating i
nto clinical applications for diagnosis and therapy that will greatly enhan
ce the quality of care bullous disease patients may receive now and in the
future. This review focuses on the progress which has been achieved in inhe
rited bullous dermatoses.
