Abstract
Raman scattering, dielectric and optical studies of ferroic states in Cd2Nb 2O7 pyrochlore within 77-205 K are presented and discussed. Coexistence of ferroic states of different nature and of a relaxer state in the ferroelect ric phase of the compound is ascribed to weak bonding between two networks, (CdO8)(n-) and (NbO6)(n-), in the pyrochlore structure.
