Abstract
We describe the system of multiwire proportional chambers (MPCs) of the MUL TI setup for investigation of small-angle correlations. The whole system of coordinate MPCs is placed in a common gaseous volume. The MPC characterist ics were measured on a U-400M-cyclotron beam. The detection efficiency for fragments that have a charge Z = 1-6 and form correlation pairs is similar to 100%.
