A dc-to-ac voltage converter for household appliances is described. Its des
ign is based on the resonance inverter. The energy entering the resonant ci
rcuit is controlled by an input thyristor. The converter ensures a +/-10% s
tability of the output voltage within a broad range of variation of the inp
ut de voltage (from 50 to 85 V) and load impedance (greater than or equal t
o 0.5 Omega, including the open circuit mode). The converter characteristic
s are as follows: power of 0.5 kW, output sinusoidal voltage of 220 V and 5
0 Hz, and a harmonic content in the output voltage of no more than 10%.
