An apparatus for studying the temperature field distribution in thin-him ph
otoconductive cells (PCCs) by LR pyrometry is described. The electric circu
it of the apparatus permits automated maintainance of identical conditions
for supplying the electric power to the PCCs on insulator substrates in tes
ting the properties of several elements, for example, of four optron pairs.
The use of substrates made of anodic alumina instead of conventional pyroc
eramic ones to prepare thin-film PCCs was shown to greatly reduce the PCC o
perational heat load; compared to sapphire substrates, this significantly l
owers the cost of technology.
