Aspects of the perturbation method are presented and implemented on the ana
lytic function of the complex variable for the propagation of nonlinear ele
ctromagnetic surface guided by a thin film. The behavior of nonlinear TE wa
ves guided by asymmetrical dielectric thin film, bounded by a generalizes n
onlinear substrate with a permittivity of the form epsilon similar to\ E \(
delta) is is analyzed. The complex roots, which correspond to the propagati
on and attenuation coefficient are obtained and discussed.
