Abstract
A review of the structural existing date on Hg-1201 shows evidence of non s toichiometry of the sample. In this compound not only oxygen but also Hg se ems to be released or, perhaps, substituted. So, the production of hulk samples with optimal oxygen doping and homogeneu s Hg content could be profitable for the study of the effect of the Hg solu bility, allowing to confirm its existence till to room temperatures, and to test the effect of Hg impoverishment on other critical superconducting par ameter different from Tc.
