Abstract
The platysma myocutaneous flap is an infrequently used flap in head and nec k reconstruction. This flap should be considered for reconstruction of smal l and medium-sized defects of the oral cavity. We present two cases demonst rating the utility of this local flap in reconstruction. Advantages, contra indications and limitations of the platysma myocutaneous flap are discussed .
