Abstract
The results of the esterification of acrylic acid with n-pentanol and n-hep tanol in the liquid phase without catalyst are presented. The kinetics of t he esterification has been investigated in an isothermal semibatch reactor. The kinetic parameters have been determined. The reaction is of second ord er but the rate of formation of the product depends only on the concentrati on of acrylic acid.
