The effect of quasi-oscillations in the wind-wave spectrum on its low-frequ
ency evolution is assessed by numerically solving the kinetic equation that
takes into account weakly nonlinear interactions in the spectrum. It is sh
own that quasi-oscillations are responsible for a significant enhancement o
f the effect of weakly nonlinear wave development. A parametrization that m
akes it possible to Consider this effect in spectral models of wind waves i
s proposed.
