Abstract
Broth serial dilution technique was employed to examine the antimicrobial e ffect of three synthetic compounds (tricyclines A, B and C). Results indica te that these compounds are relatively more active against Gram positive mi croorganisms than Gram negative ones. In addition, tricycline B showed the most potent antimicrobial activity. Tricycline A had no antibacterial actio n against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
