An apparatus was developed to determine the solubility of salts in water at
high temperatures. The phase equilibrium data for the ternary systems NaHC
O3 + NaCl + H2O and NaHCO3 + Na2SO4 + H2O, the quaternary systems Na2CO3 NaHCO3 + Na2SO4 + H2O, Na2CO3 + NaHCO3 + NaCl + H2O, and NaHCO3 + Na2SO4 NaCl + H2O, and the five-component system Na2CO3 + NaHCO3 + Na2SO4 + NaCl H2O at 150 degrees C were measured. Combined with the results of the previ
ous investigations, the phase diagrams of these systems are plotted, and th
e analyses and discussions are made on the construction of the crystalline
areas in these phase diagrams.
