Abstract
A novel synthesis of 5-amino-1-arylsulfonyl-4-pyrazolin-3-ones via intramol ecular cyclization of cyanoaceto-N-arylsulfonylhydrazides is reported and t he synthetic potential of the method is demonstrated.
