Abstract
Simplified reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method wi th ultraviolet detection at 280 nm without extraction procedure is describe d to quantify furosemide in rabbit and human urine. An internal standard wa s not used. The lower limit of quantitation was 0.750 mu g/ml using 50 mu l urine samples (100 mu l of total injection volume), and Linear response wa s tested from 0.750 to 250 mu g/ml in both humans and rabbits. Within and b etween-day accuracy and precision were always below 10% at all analyzed con centrations. Validation data showed that this method is linear, sensitive, selective, specific, accurate and reproducible. (C) 1999 Published by Elsev ier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
