Abstract
We have characterized two sets of fluorescence-labeled beads with single-be ad fluorescence microspectroscopy. Our results demonstrate the possible sel f-quenching effect on the fluorescence in the resin bead and, therefore, ca ll for a careful selection of fluorophores and a rigorous control of the la beling reaction yield in order to generate labeled beads for combinatorial chemistry and other disciplines.
