Abstract
Using experimental data of earlier investigators, we develop an isobaric eq
uation of state for the pseudo-binary liquid Hg1 - xCdxTe. This equation of
state accounts for the observed nonlinear dependence of density on tempera
ture in a range above the liquidus temperature, as well as the observed lin
ear dependence at higher temperatures in the range of interest in direction
