Abstract
An assessment is presented of the impact on system load shape of the a pplication of cool-storage air-conditioning in the commercial sector o f Thailand. A computer tool for least-cost planning is used to formula te an alternative power-development plan. Features of the resultant pl an include an 8% reduction in the required capacity addition compared to a reference plan. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
