Abstract
We study stability and bifurcations of 1D localized structures in a laser w ith a saturable absorber. instability leading to oscillating localized stru cture is described. Our numerical study of light propagation in a dispersiv e medium with saturable gain and absorption provides evidence for the exist ence of 3D 'laser bullets'.
