1.5-Cyclo-octadiene is readily displaced from [Ru(eta(4)-COD){eta(5)-(P3C2B
u2CH)-C-t(SiMe3)(2)}] to give the dicarbonyl complex [Ru(CO)(2){n(5)-(P3C2B
u2CH)-C-t(SiMe3)(2)}], which on treatment with water in the presence of CO
is converted into a tricarbonyl complex containing the novel 4-electron don
or triphosphorus-ring system {(CBuPP)-P-t(H)CH(SiMe3)(2)(CBuP)-P-t(O)H} whi
