The spectrum of five times ionized xenon (Xe VI) has been observed in the 2
70-7000 Angstrom wavelength range. We proposed 18 new energy level values o
f the 5s5p5d configuration, all the energy level values for the 5p(3) confi
guration and three energy level values of the 5s5p6s configuration. The obs
erved configurations were theoretically interpreted by means of Hartree-Foc
k relativistic (HFR) calculations and least-squares fit of the energy param
eters to the observed levels. The parameter values are compared with result
s from HFR calculations.
