A spatial-filter multiplexing method is proposed to enhance the storage den
sity in a thin photopolymer film. The formula for the selectivity Delta the
ta was derived, and it was compared with the experimental results. A select
ivity Delta theta of less than 0.1 degree was achieved. The storage density
obtained by using spatial-filter multiplexing was compared to the storage
density of conventional shift multiplexing, and it was proven that spatial-
filter multiplexing was able to enhance the storage density by more than ab
out 40 times compared to that achieved with conventional shift multiplexing
in a photopolymer thin film.
