Abstract
PbSn30Sb7Agx (where x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 wt%) melt-spun all oys were prepared by a melt spinning technique. The dynamic mechanical properties of the as-casted and prestressed alloys were measured. Fur thermore, the electron transport properties were evaluated by measurin g the electrical resistivity of the rapidly solidified alloys. The stu died alloys can be found in stable mechanical configuration up to pres tressed value of 1.75 GPa which we recommend for the use as an ultimat e value for these alloys. Prestressing alloys can also deteriorate the ir resistivity.
